Daily News: Fibroid Growth in Black, White Women Differs 

A recent study shows the growth rate of fibroid tumors in black women is greater compared to white women, and this may explain why black women typically have more symptoms than white women.  This study consisted of 262 tumors in 72 women and found that growth rates of fibroids only decreased in white women over age 35.
