In some cases, women with fibroids do not experience any symptoms; however, in other cases, they do have the potential to cause complications. Subserosal fibroids, one of the four general types of fibroids, grow on the outside of the uterus and can expand to a point where they put pressure on other parts of the body. When they reach spinal nerves, they can cause back pain. This pain can be in the lower back area (often dull, heavy and aching, but may be sharp) and can create back pain that interferes with your daily activities. If you experience back pain that begins to impede on your dailiy activities, you may ask your doctor about prescribing over-the-counter pain relievers.

Hope this helps and please do not hesitate to call us with any additional questions! (866) 362-6463

Fibroids can definitely bear a burden on your quality of life. Being that you are experiencing extreme pain and passing painful clots, Uterine Artery Embolization may be a good solution to treating your fibroids. Additionally, you don't have to deal with the slow recovery time that is associated with surgical procedures like Myomectomy.

If you are interested in finding out more about Uterine Fibroid Embolization, please feel free to give us a call at 866-362-6463 or email us at patientcoordinator@fibroids.com. We are always more than happy discuss your options with you and help you decide what is best for your health. At the Fibroid Treatment Collective, there is always a qualified health professional available to answer any of your fibroid-related questions and help you decide if Uterine Artery Embolization is right for you.

Best of Luck!

I am very interested in making an apt or whatever I need to do to qualify for one. 3 years ago I underwent a myomectomy, to remove a tumor the size of a grapefruit, and thought that my troubles were over. The recovery was long and I still have numbness in the lower abdomen area. I was just informed in late October that I have two more that are the size of golf balls. I experience extreem pain and passing of painful clots. Help. I am tired of hurting.

Thank you for your time,
